The Nigerian electoral body, INEC has fixed Thursday the 27th of September 2018 for a gubernatorial rerun between PDP and APC in the Council Wards where their elections were cancelled due to irregularities. After the rerun, a clear winner is likely to emerge.

The OSUN State gubernatorial elections held on the 22nd of September 2018 has been declared inconclusive.  Reason given was that the margin between the leading party, PDP and the closest party APC was so narrow. It is recorded that there were couple of wards where their result were cancelled due to irregularities.  As it stands now, there is going to be a fresh polls to be conducted in the affected areas with about three thousand (3,000) electorates. The date for the elections will soon be announced. How the top contenders faired: PDP....254,698 APC.....254,345 SDP.....128,049 ADP......49,744.

The voting process in OSUN State has just been concluded. The collation and the counting of the thumb printed ballot papers are on going presently. We shall keep you informed as the process winds down.

The People's Democratic Party  (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties will file out today at Osun Gubernatorial Elections. The front runners parties include, PDP, APC and SDP. Today's elections, if conducted free and fairly will be another test for what is likely going to happen in the General Elections come 2019.
